Donna Milton

Psychotherapist

Guided by my own healing journey and over 20 years of clinical experience, I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive space for every client. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing to (MI) along with other approaches to help individuals, couples, and families identify strengths and develop practical, personalized plans for growth. CBT assists clients in understanding and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns, DBT assists with intense emotions by balancing emotional acceptance, while motivational interviewing empowers client to explore their readiness for change and set meaningful goals. I have supported individuals within shelter systems to regain stability and confidence by recognizing their resilience and collaboratively building tailored plans that foster autonomy. To ensure all clients feel safe and respected, I actively listen without judgment, honour diverse backgrounds, and adapt my methods to meet each person’s unique needs and values. My commitment is to validate your experience, reflect your worth, and support you as you navigate challenges and strive toward personal well-being.

Why I Became A Therapist!

Following my personal experience with the positive impact of therapy, I was motivated to assist others in their pursuit of healing and self-discovery.
